Implementation of Good Mining Engineering Rules

 

The implementation of good mining techniques is stated in the Regulation of the Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources of the Republic of Indonesia Number 26 of 2018. Where in this Ministerial Regulation consists of Nine Chapters, namely:

1. Chapter I about General Provisions

2. Chapter II about the Implementation of Good Mining Engineering Rules

3. Chapter III about the Implementation of Mineral and Coal Mining Business Governance

4. Chapter IV about Supervision of Mining Business Management

5. Chapter V about Supervision of Mining Business Activities

6. Chapter VI about Administrative Sanctions

7. Chapter VII about Other Provisions

8. Chapter VIII about Transitional Provisions

9. Chapter IX about Closing Provisions

 

Where the regulations regarding the Implementation of Good Mining Engineering Rules are contained in Chapter II which is divided into 7 parts;

1. Part One about General
2. Part Two about Mining Technical
3. Part Three about Management of Mining Safety and Safety of Mineral and Coal Processing and/or Refining
4. Part Four about Mining, Reclamation, and Post-Mining Environmental Management, and Post-operation
5. Part Five about Mineral and Coal Conservation
6. Part Six about Utilization of Technology, Engineering Capability, Mining Technology Design, Development and Application
7. Part Seven about Specific Work Competency Standards, Indonesian National Work Competency Standards, and Indonesian National Standards

In Chapter II Part Two Regulation of the Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources of the Republic of Indonesia Number 26 of 2018 concerning Mining Technical. Where in the implementation of the technical aspects, it is mandatory to:

• using the method of Exploration, Mining, Processing and/or Purification, and Transportation in accordance with the approval of the Annual Work Plan and Budget;
• use competent mining technical personnel;
• develop a work plan that is transparent, accountable, and rational; and/or
• carry out complete and optimal activities in accordance with the work plan and meet the technical requirements.
